** Responsibilities
- Manage homebuilding construction through all phases to ensure
the delivery of a quality home.
- Schedule subcontractors and delivery dates for materials.
- Ensure all building codes and Meritage Home standards of quality
are met.
- Conduct walk-through inspections and other scheduled
inspections with the homeowner.
- Communicate safety standards to laborers and sub-contractors;
enforces safety regulations on all job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite and subdivision.
- Interact daily with various departments of company,
subcontractors, customers, and city inspectors.
- Attend Construction, monthly and quarterly meetings.

** Civil Engineer
** Position Summary
Advanced professional and supervisory civil engineering work in the planning design, construction, inspection and maintenance of a variety of public works projects and facilities.
** Illustrative Examples of Essential Duties:
- Participates and supervises in the preparation and production of construction plans and specifications for highways, bridges, water supply projects, street lighting projects, street parking, sanitary and storm sewer works,
hydraulics, and other public works
- Reviews field surveys to develop information required for design and construction of public works projects
- Reviews plans for public works projects for compliance with standards
- Prepares reports and makes preliminary feasibility studies for public works projects
- Reviews permit applications for proposed utility installations and construction and makes recommendations to supervisors on effects to existing or proposed utilities
- Acts as liaison between City and contractual engineers, utility companies, engineering firms and/or city departments engaged in construction
- Participates in corrosion or erosion engineering work and control programs
- Makes recommendations for construction and improvement of city facilities
- Supervises the preparation of cost estimates for public works projects
- Supervises and participates in preparation of City engineering procedures
- Prepares and presents comprehensive reports and studies for public works projects
- Reviews permit applications
- Supervises the inspection of a wide variety of public works construction projects
- Performs related work as required
